Having seeing and enjoyed the first one I thought that this would be worth checking out. This is just as good as the first one. It keeps everything that made the first one enjoyable but this time it is done on a much larger scale. With the first one, it had a very simple plot with loads of daft going ons happening around it. This time, there is much more meat on the plot bone! Harold and Kumar are on thier way to Amesterdam, so Harold can meet up with the girl of his dreams. But whilst on the plane, Kumar gets out his smokeless bong contraption and it gets mistaken for a bomb and Harold and Kumar are arrested as suspected terrorists. The pair are soon shoved into Guantanamo Bay, but make a quick escape and must go to a friend for help, who happens to be marrying Kumar's ex. Lets get one thing straight, this movie is incredibly daft, just like the first one. But unlike the first one, this really pushes its humour to the limit. Some things in this movie make you wonder how the hell they got away with it. The obviou thing is the whole terrorist thing, but we also have a stupid racist Fed agent, a pot smoking George Bush, a completely bottemless scene, A Klu Kulx Klan gathering, inbred Southerners, Texas whorehouse and a dream sequence which involves a threesome with a living bag of cannabis! That is listing most of the humour, but it comes up with loads of little gags within the big humour scenes which adds more originality and makes alot funnier. Having said that though, it does go over the top at times and it sometimes comes out abit sick and not really that funny. he dream sequence is one of the main scenes that suffers from that, but there are also a couple of little ones that also fall under that. But one of the main thing that stops the film from falling into just another crass, stupid heartless American comedy is its two leads. They work really well together and have good chemistry and just really enjoyable to watch. All this stupid stuff is happening around them, but they keep a light feel to things. A subplot I liked is the stupid Fed agent. The character is played well and most of the laughs come from him. In fact there is actually only one smart agent who can easily figure out the whole thing within the first 5 mintues of the movie, just no one listens to him. The whole thing with Kumar and his ex-girlfriend does add a nice touch to it, even though it ends rather soppy-ish, well the whole ending is really. One thing with this film though, everybody seems to smoke pot! Even the President smokes it (in a scene which could have been funnier). Just one more thing to mention really, and that is Neil Patrick Harris. His cameo was great in the first one but this one was great, he has quite abit more to do and I hope they find a way to bring him back in the talked about third movie, because he is a great highlight of both the movies. Really only watched this if you liked the first one. The humour will defiantly split people, but fans of the first one will be laughing there heads off!

Who hasn't pulled an allnighter looking for a certain food item? The problem with this film is that I can't exactly say i've been accused of being a terrorist.

As films go this was pretty average. It wasnt anywhere near as funny as the original and the storyline was a little to sappy for a stoner flick. It had its moments but it was definately lacking something.

Not as great as the original, but definitely worth a viewing if you loved White Castle as much as i did. It'll make you laugh the whole way through, and that's the point of any comedy, i guess.

Emo Harold was classic, though. rofl. so great and so random.

Oh yeah, and it's a good geek's fantasy movie. Geeks getting the amazingly gorgeous girls. Geeks like young Kumar (which scarily reminded me too much of myself).

Super funny!! It follows the first one perfectly. The jokes were great. I have to admit though, the fights and drama between Harold and Kumar were just plain annoying. It drags you out of the funny and into the drama, which isn't what I payed for. Other than that, the movie is hysterical!

A heart warming coming-of-age tale filled with a wealth of rich and poignant social commentary...jk, it does have cockmeat sandwiches though.

The first movie was surprisingly funny. This was base excrementalism, killing the oafish humor of these two pre-professional slackers. This was horrible with a couple of moments that weren't so bad. I am sorry I spent the time watching.

I hesitate to give such a vulgar movie even one star, but I have to admit that, gratuitous nudity and profanity aside, there was actually some genuinely funny stuff in it.

Harold And Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay was the funniest movie I have ever seen in my whole entire life. I have never laughed nearly as hard as I did when I had seen this movie. The theatre was pretty packed for it being the midnight showing. Everyone in the theatre did not stop laughing either. They made every single part funny one way or another. Harold and Kumar have never been so funny. I loved how they mixed the drugs, sex, nudity, and jokes all together. This movie was done in very good taste. It was not to dirty and didn't have a ton of drugs. Their was a lot of drugs and drug references but it was all okay. One thing I really liked about this movie was that it took place right from the first one. I loved how they mixed in Harolds love story and and Kumars love story also. This movie started out amazing and just kept getting better and better. It never got boring in the entire movie. The story was hilarious having Kumar get mistaken for a terrorist. The whole movie they were on the run which was pretty cool. The acting was very good as well. I wish that they would have had more screen time for Maraia and Neal Patrick Harris. They didn't really get much screen time at all. Neal really made this movie so much better from the scenes he was in. He did such a great job as well. This movie really was just so amazing. It should easily win for the funniest movie of the year. I would go see this movie again and again. It is one of those kind of movie that you don't get sick of seeing. I also think that even if your not a pot head you can enjoy this movie. You don't have to be a pot head to enjoy this movie. Their was some surprisingly good messages in it. They some how made smoking weed seem like it isn't so bad in this movie. I think that adults and especially teenagers would enjoy this movie a lot. Overall this was easily one of the funniest movies ever made. It was way better than the first and that says a lot considering the first was great as well. So just take my word for it and go see it and you will laugh your head off.

This movie begins immediately after "White Castle" ends, and it almost feels like the same movie. There's little new ground broken here, but it's still an enjoyable ride. Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) hop a plane to Amsterdam to track down the love of Harold's life (played by Paula Garces). When Kumar is mistaken for a terrorist (because of his super-bong that looks like a super-bomb), the boys are sent to Guantanamo Bay by an insanely blindly stupid FBI agent. They escape by sheer dumb luck (as only they can) and make their way back to the states to try and clear their name. Along the way there are lots of funny, silly moments (including the return of Neil Patrick Harris portraying the nutty Neil Patrick Harris)-but that's what we were expecting, right? This movie doesn't disappoint.

Harold and Kumar is just as funny as they were in the first one. And a memorable appearance by Neil Patrick Harris: ''Did you see that unicorn? Its horn was so SHINY!''
To be recommended to anyone who likes a good laugh and nothing else.

Saw it opening weekend at the theater and it was hilarious. But then later I saw it on dvd and it was just ok. Its one of those movies thats great the first time but you cant watch it over and over. Its also better if you watch it with alot of people.
